Baris Burak Kanbur, PhD
ABOUT ME
Received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul at 2012 and 2014, respectively. Radiative and conduction heat transfer were his two main interest areas during his B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies. Ph.D. degree was received in early May from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2019. Thermal management of the small-scale LNG cold utilization systems was the main core of the Ph.D. study.
Besides his academic progress, he worked as an R&D engineer in Turkish industry and participated in significant research projects that were funded by the European Union (FP7), the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of Turkey (SANTEZ).
Previous research efforts were on the thermal management of data centers and batteries, 3D-printed cooling channels, and droplet impingement on hot surfaces. Recently, he has worked in two-phase R-744 ejectors in R-744 heat pump systems.
